SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning 24″ X 36″ wall calendar for 2005.

For the feature image, WP&YR again commissioned renowned railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created “Spanning the Centuries” which The artwork depicts 3 Alco 101 class locomotives leading 12 passenger coaches on a summit excursion over bridge 18A. In the background it shows the steel cantilever bridge, which at 215′ high, was the highest cantilever bridge in the world when it was built in 1901.

WP&YR will be distributing its calendar to tour companies, travel agents and industry partners and the calendar will be available for sale on-line for $9.95 or call 1-800-343-7373. The new calendar can be viewed on the website at wpyr.com.
