SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning 24″ X 36″ wall calendar for 2012.
The 2012 feature image was again commissioned to renowned railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created “TUNNEL MOUNTAIN DESCENT – MP 15.8”. Featured are diesel locomotives No. 97 and No. 94 leading the descent of Fraser train # 24 through Tunnel Mountain and across the yawning chasm of Glacier Gorge on their way to Skagway.
