SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning 24″ X 36″ wall calendar for 2006.

For the feature image, WP&YR again commissioned renowned railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created “Fraser Rendezvous.” It depicts steam engine No. 73, after returning from Bennett, B.C. stopping for water at the Fraser water tower 27.7 miles from Skagway. The afternoon Fraser train, led by GE diesel No. 100, approaches the station, while a Summit excursion train circles the loop in preparation for its return across White Pass, visible in the far distance.

WP&YR will be distributing its calendar to tour companies, travel agents and industry partners and the calendar will be available for sale on-line for $9.95 or call 1-800-343-7373.
