Gary C. Danielson, President of the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad (WP&YR) presented Ron & Sheila Blacketer of Salem Oregon with a certificate and tote of WP&YR memorabilia. The Blacketers were part of a record breaking day at the WP&YR in which the railroad surpassed last year’s all-time ridership record of 404,722 revenue passengers.
With another 9 operating days left until the end of the season on Saturday September 24th, the WP&YR expects to exceed 430,000 revenue passengers in 2005.
