White Pass & Yukon Route, a successful, historic company engaged in rail, tourism and port operations based in Skagway, Alaska, has an opening for an Accounting Assistant. This is a full time, seasonal position, with the possibility of growth. The position will be available from May 1- September 30th. Compensation depends on experience.

Duties:

• Cash Handling
• Assist Controller and Senior Accountant as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Excel. Must possess basic knowledge of computers including the ability to learn new software systems.
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently
• Accounting background preferred
• Person must be detailed oriented, organized and have a high degree of accuracy.
