Steam Summit Loop

Available dates are July 17 & August 14 at 10:15am.

Board a vintage parlor car pulled by an authentic steam engine for a fully narrated approximate 2 hour 50 minute tour aboard the historic White Pass & Yukon Route.  Against all odds, the iron trail was carved through some of the North’s most rugged terrain in 1898 to include mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels & trestles.

Travel up one of the steepest grades in North America, enjoying the history of the building of the railroad and why it was declared an International Civil Engineering landmark while being pulled by a 1947 steam locomotive.

Enjoy a light snack, non-alcoholic beverages and a special souvenir provided by your tour guide.

After traveling around the summit loop, travel back to Skagway.

Limited capacity tour in specialty rail cars with large windows and tables.
