SKAGWAY, AK – Don Turple, Vice President and CFO of Tri-White Corporation, parent company of White Pass, announced today the appointment of Gary C. Danielson as Executive Vice President of the White Pass & Yukon Group of Companies in Alaska and Canada.

Danielson will be responsible for all operations of the combined companies. Formerly Vice President of the Company, Danielson will assume his new responsibilities immediately. He succeeds Fred McCorriston who has left the organization to pursue other opportunities after serving as its President for the past five years.

A native of Minnesota, Danielson first came to Alaska in 1976 as Manager of Passenger Operations for the White Pass & Yukon Route in Skagway, Alaska. Turple said, “Gary is the consummate professional and has been involved in business, tourism and community organizations in Alaska and Yukon for over 25 years.” Gary will provide a seamless transition for the company, enabling it to continue to move forward in the very competitive travel and transportation industry. “With over 3 decades of management experience in the industry, most notably with Qantas Airways, Alaska Airlines and Princess Cruises, and his experience in regional, national and international business planning, marketing and corporate strategy, he is the right candidate to lead White Pass in the coming years.”

Gary and his wife Margo currently reside in both Skagway Alaska and Whitehorse Yukon.

Gary sits on the Board of Directors of Visitors Benefit Alaska and is a member of the Rotary Club of Whitehorse.
