Customer Support Aide
White Pass & Yukon Route, a successful, historic company engaged in rail, tourism and port operations, based in Skagway, Alaska, has an opening for a Customer Support Aide. This is a full-time, seasonal position. The position will be available early May to late September.
We are offering several seasonal positions dedicated to providing operational support and safety within the organization. This position will work throughout the day supporting safety at rail crossings, efficient passenger movement on the cruise ship piers, and assisting throughout the operation to help with peak times in various departments.Â
We are looking for the right individual who has a diverse skill set that includes strong customer service background, ability to communicate with a diverse customer base, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently or as a team. Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Duties
- Manage and control passenger/vehicle movements at in-town rail crossings
- Help with tour loading and greeting of tour guests at Depot and Cruise Ship piers.
- Assist with shuttle loading to move guests off Railroad Dock Aft position
- Transport guests to loading locations as needed
- Assist in the ticket office as needed
- Assist in the Train Shoppe as needed
- Aid with services related to janitorial, ground keeping, and housing supplies
- Other duties as assigned
