SKAGWAY, AK — Carrying on a century old tradition, White Pass & Yukon Route (WP&YR) has again produced a stunning 24″ X 36″ wall calendar for 2010.
For the feature image, WP&YR again commissioned renowned railway artist J. Craig Thorpe, who created “SKAGWAY SUMMER MORNING – Milepost 0 — Gateway to the Yukon”.
Gateway Sentinel
White Pass Fraser train #23 northbound past Gateway at MP23.5 pulled by newly modernized locomotives No.98 and No.90 as a bull caribou stands sentinel.
Skagway, Alaska is home to the WP&YR which owns and operates the docks and the historic narrow gauge railway.
